3. Early Life and Education

John Kennady was raised in a middle-class family in suburban of Ramnad. From a young age, he showed an interest in entrepreneurship, selling of sim cards and working as a part time during his higher studies. He graduated from St James Higher sec School in 2000 and later earned a Bachelor’s degree in B.Sc. Mathematics from St Joseph’s College Trichy in 2006. He went on to receive an MBA from Bangalore University in 2008.

John Kennady began his career as a sales manager in MRF TYRES at Chennai and worked in various part of Tamil Nadu both in the field of sales and service which made him put a strong foundation in his tyre industries. After five years, he moved on to Continental India Limited as a State Head Handling entire part of Tamil Nadu and developed the market and had a growth over 150%.  And later he started his own business at Tirupur in the name of TYRE PORT in 2015 and had a vast growth in his business under his leadership opened one more outlet at Coimbatore and expanded his business to next level and he has become the market leader in premium segments on both towns.

John Kennady is married to Anitha Mary, a teacher, and they have two children. He is passionate about sustainability and often speaks at conferences about corporate responsibility and strength of being united. he enjoys playing shuttle and travelling.

During his school and college years, he stood out as a district-level volleyball player and earned multiple medals in shuttle badminton tournaments, showcasing his dedication to physical fitness and team spirit.

Professionally, John has earned recognition from MRF Tyres for his contributions and excellence. He was also formally trained by Ashok Leyland in the specialized field of vehicle mechanisms, equipping him with strong technical knowledge and practical skills in the automotive industry.

Service Through Rotary

John Kennady has made remarkable contributions to society through his involvement with Rotary International. As a Rotary Club Secretary, he initiated and completed a global grant project for the construction of 15 restrooms in girls' schools, significantly improving hygiene and education access for young girls.

His service did not stop there—he has been a consistent supporter and donor for people in need, earning him the honor of becoming a Major Paul Harris Fellow (MPHF), one of the highest recognitions in Rotary for philanthropic service.

Leadership in RMBF Tirupur

John served as the Chairman of the Rotary Means Business Fellowship (RMBF) Tirupur Chapter, where he demonstrated outstanding leadership and vision. Under his guidance, RMBF Tirupur experienced tremendous growth and became a model for other chapters in the region.

One of his key achievements was successfully connecting with all RMBF chairmen across Tamil Nadu and organizing a landmark networking conclave for all 27 RMBF chapters in Tamil Nadu, held in the esteemed presence of Rotary International Director Rtn. MM Muruganantham (fondly known as MMM). This event marked a turning point in the expansion and influence of RMBF in the region.

Thanks to his vision and efforts, Tamil Nadu is now on the path to reaching 50 RMBF chapters, a goal that reflects the strength of his leadership and networking ability.
